The Ranking System
The Plebis Ranking System is designed to recognize meaningful governance participation. It rewards consistency, quality, and responsibility. Not volume for its own sake.
Governance works best when participants are informed, active, and accountable. The ranking system gives structure to that behavior. It helps individuals understand their impact. It helps communities surface trusted participants. It helps projects identify reliable contributors and delegates.
Your rank evolves over time based on real actions. Voting. Reading. Contributing. Stewardship. Advancement is earned. Maintenance matters. Regress is possible.
This is not gamification for vanity. It is reputation built through governance.
How the Ranking System Works
Your rank is determined by a combination of:
- Participation points earned across multiple governance activities
- Qualifying actions required at each level
- Consistency over time, not short bursts of activity
- Accountability, including penalties for failed or low-quality proposals
Points accumulate across four core participation categories:
- Voting Behavior
- Information Engagement
- Public Contribution
- System Stewardship
Progression is cumulative. Higher ranks reflect broader and deeper participation. However, no rank can be achieved through repetitive low-impact actions alone.
Once a rank is reached, it must be maintained for 30 consecutive days to become solidified. Inactivity results in point decay and may lead to demotion.
